Nigerian Ambassador To Spain, Seriki Dies at 63.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has commiserated with the family of Ambassador Ademola Seriki, whose death occurred in the early hours of Thursday, 15th December, 2022 in Madrid, Spain , after a brief illness.
In a statement made available to Diplomatic Digest online and signed by the Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs Francisca K. Omayuli, the Federal Government of Nigeria, “expresses deep sorrow, following the passing of Ambassador Ademola Rasaq Seriki, CON”.
She said further, “Until is death, Ambassador Seriki was Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, with concurrent accreditation as Permanent Representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) in Spain. He contributed immensely to strengthening Nigeria’s relations with Spain.”
Ambassador Seriki was an astute politician and a seasoned administrator who served Nigeria in various capacities. He was at various times, Minister of different Federal Ministries, including Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Interior amongst other top positions he held in both the public and private sectors.
Ademola Seriki was born on November 30, 1959. He was a teacher, politician, businessman and a public administrator.
