Teacher Dismissed From Church Of England School For Refusing To Teach LGBT Curriculum.

By Olusiji Balogun

A teacher at Bishop Justus Church of England School in Bromley, Kent, has been dismissed from her position for refusing to teach what she deemed as “extreme” LGBT lessons in the Religious Education (RE) syllabus. Glawdys Leger, a 43-year-old modern foreign languages teacher with 12 years of teaching experience, found herself at the center of a heated debate surrounding her beliefs and teaching choices.

Ms. Leger, who had been with the school since 2017, faced dismissal in May 2022 after expressing her refusal to cover LGBT material to year seven pupils. She openly shared her belief with students that LGBT practices were sinful and that humans are born either male or female. This stance led to a reported incident where she upset a student with her views, prompting further action.

Subsequently, Ms. Leger was reported to the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA), and now she faces the possibility of being banned from the teaching profession indefinitely. Her “fitness to practise” hearing is scheduled to take place in Coventry soon.

  • If this report turns out to be correct then normal people ought to crowdfund and support this poor victim of aggressive atheism. It is sad to see the way the society is headed.
