DG Nigerian Technical Aid Corps(NTAC) Yakub, Receives FRCN Delegation In Abuja.

A delegation of Adamawa State indigenes, notably comprising key personnel from the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), paid a courtesy visit to the Director-General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Yusuf Buba Yakub, in Abuja to celebrate Nigeria’s stride in global engagement through the Technical Aid Corps Scheme.
The delegation led by Hussaina Akila Banshika, mni, the Director of News at FRCN, commended President Tinubu for the appointment of Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Yusuf Buba Yakub, acknowledging his exceptional track record as the former Chair of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, asserting that his leadership is pivotal for the current phase of the Technical Aid Corps Scheme.

According to a statement signed by Nkem Anyata-Lafia, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the NTAC DG and made available to Diplomatic Digest online “Buba Yakub highlighted the substantial advantages of the TAC Scheme and emphasized the strategic significance of soft-power diplomacy in the evolving global landscape, where coercive methods are increasingly less viable in international relations”.
He disclosed the Corps’ intention to extend its outreach to encompass multilateral organizations and even expand beyond the African, Caribbean, and Pacific States in the upcoming year. Additionally, he urged continued media support to enhance visibility for the Agency’s programs and initiatives.
The visit culminated in the presentation of a gift to the former Gombi/Hong Rep, representing a gesture of appreciation from the delegation. Noteworthy members of the group included Hamza Alkali, a Senior Correspondent specializing in Radio Nigeria’s coverage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Desk, and Halima Bulama, a Reporter-turned-Librarian, both originating from Adamawa State.
The exchange underscored the commitment of Nigerians, through key institutions like the FRCN, in supporting and enhancing the global impact of the TAC Scheme under the Tinubu administration’s leadership, emphasizing a proactive approach to bolstering Nigeria’s presence on the international stage.
