The United Kingdom government has recently updated its roster of approved companies eligible to sponsor skilled immigrants from Nigeria seeking temporary worker visas.
This initiative, aimed at fostering international collaboration and boosting employment opportunities, has seen a substantial increase, with 99,856 companies now authorized, surpassing the previous count of 68,630 as of January 2023.
The comprehensive list spans various industries, providing a diverse array of opportunities in technology, commerce, education, media and advertising, engineering, and more.
The official announcement on January 12, 2024, emphasized the inclusion of categories such as charity workers, skilled workers, creative workers, global business mobility (senior or specialist workers), and international sportspersons in the sponsorship program.
