Israeli Hostage Spends First Birthday In Hamas Captivity – Israeli Ambassador

The Israeli Embassy in Nigeria, says today 18 January, 2024, an Israeli hostage, Kfir Biabas, will spend his 1st birthday in Hamas captivity.

In a statement, the Embassy said the one year old Kfir Bibas, the youngest Israeli hostage held by Hamas, has spent almost one third of his life in the terror dungeons of Hamas, and dishearteningly, marks his one-year birthday today 19 January, 2024, in Hamas captivity.

The Embassy labelled the experience as the “saddest birthday ever”, stating that Bibas was kidnapped along with his 4-year-old brother Ariel, his Parents Shiri, and Yarden, during Hamas’s brutal assault on Israel on October 7th where Hamas terrorists murdered, tortured, brutalized, and raped over 1200 Israelis, and kidnapped over 200 others.

The Isaeli Ambassador, Michael Freeman, condemned the act, and called for an immediate release of hostages held by Hamas

“I call for the immediate release of all the hostages held by Hamas. There can never be any justification for kidnapping, and I call on everyone to join us in our call to release the hostages now.
“Kfir Bibas is the world’s youngest hostage. Every Parent knows how special a Child’s first birthday is, how special it should be, but for the Bibas family, and for little Kfir, it is a nightmare.” he said.

“Kfir Bibas is just one of the 136 hostages still held by Hamas who are refusing to allow access by the Red Cross, or to provide any details about the hostages’ health.
Fears are growing for the wellbeing of the hostages, particularly in the light of evidence, provided by former hostages who were released, of Hamas’ terrorists torture, sexual assault and rape of the Israeli hostages remaining in Gaza”.

According to the statement, Aviva Siegel who was held hostage in Gaza for over 50 days said she saw signs that a fellow hostage had been sexually abused by a guard, while a 17-year-old Agam Goldstein-Almog, who was also kidnapped on October 7, 2023, said during her time in captivity she saw many girls that underwent severe sexual abuses.
