Ambassador Tuggar Receives Iranian Special Envoy, Habib.

Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar received in audience, Special Envoy and Adviser of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Excellency, Eshagh Ale Habib on Wednesday 26th February 2025.

Eshagh Ale Habib is an Iranian politician and diplomat. He was born in 1967 in Tehran, Iran. Ale Habib holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Tehran.

Ale Habib has had a distinguished career in Iranian politics and diplomacy, serving in various roles, including:

  • Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs: Ale Habib held this position from 2017 to 2021, where he played a key role in shaping Iran’s economic diplomacy and international trade policies.
  • Ambassador to the Vatican: Ale Habib served as Iran’s Ambassador to the Holy See from 2013 to 2017, where he worked to strengthen relations between Iran and the Vatican.
  • Member of Parliament: Ale Habib was a member of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) from 2008 to 2012, representing the constituency of Tehran.

Ale Habib has been a vocal advocate for Iran’s economic development and international engagement. He has also been involved in various international organizations, including the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Ale Habib is fluent in Persian, English, and Italian, and has written several books and articles on international relations, economics, and diplomacy.
