Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Tuggar Embarks on High-Level Working Visit to the UK.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, is set to lead a high-level working visit to the United Kingdom as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic relations and enhance strategic cooperation in key sectors.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, the visit will focus on deepening Nigeria-UK collaboration in trade, investment, technology, media, and academia.

The Minister’s engagements in the UK reflect Nigeria’s commitment to fostering global partnerships to drive economic growth, innovation, and sustainable development.

During the visit, Ambassador Tuggar is expected to: Deliver a speech at Chatham House on Nigeria’s evolving foreign policy and global aspirations. Participate in a high-level roundtable at the House of Commons to discuss Nigeria’s economic diversification, investment climate, and digital transformation.
Engage with media stakeholders at BBC House to highlight Nigeria’s foreign policy priorities and global positioning.
Meet with financial institutions such as JP Morgan and British International Investment (BII) to explore economic cooperation, capital inflows, and investment opportunities in Nigeria.

As part of his itinerary, the Foreign Affairs Minister will hold bilateral discussions with senior UK government officials, including representatives from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and other key institutions.
