Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister Appoints Amb. Sule As Special Assistant On Diplomacy And Foreign Relations.

Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has appointed Ambassador Ahmed Sule as Special Assistant on Diplomacy and Foreign Relations.
According to a statement issued by the Acting Spokesperson of the Ministry ,Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, on Thursday, the newly appointed Special Assistant is a Political Science graduate from Bayero University, Kano, and a retired Career Diplomat with over 30 years of experience.
Prior to his retirement from the Nigerian diplomatic service in 2024, Ambassador Sule worked in various Directorates and Divisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, and also served at the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations, New York, USA; the Embassy of Nigeria, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and the High Commission of Nigeria, Ottawa, Canada.
Mr Ebienfa further stated that Ambassador Sule was also an Acting High Commissioner of Nigeria in London, United Kingdom. He was an appointed Principal Envoy of Nigeria to the Republic of India, with concurrent accreditation to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, by President Mohammadu Buhari in 2021. He added that Ambassador Sule served meritoriously in that capacity between 2021, and December 2023.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs therefore congratulated the Diplomat on his appointment, stating that he is expected to bring to bear his wealth of experience in the implementation of the Honourable Minister’s foreign policy drive.
