Ghana And Qatar Hold Consultations on Strategic Partnership.

The Maiden session of the Political Consultations (Senior Officials Level) between the Republic of Ghana and the State of Qatar was held on Thursday, 24th April, 2025 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Accra, Ghana.
The Ghanaian team was led by the Chief Director of the Ministry, Ambassador Ramses J. Cleland and H.E. Dr. Ahmad bin Hassan Al-Hammadi, Secretary-General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs led the Qatar team. Deliberations were conducted in a spirit of mutual respect, openness,and shared commitment to advancing strategic partnership between the two countries. The consultations provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views on a broad range of issues of bilateral, regional, and global importance.

On the bilateral relations, the two sides discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation in key sectors such as trade and investment, education, health, tourism, mining, and energy among others. The meeting ended with a renewed resolve by both sides to deepen cooperation and translate their shared aspirations into tangible outcomes, which will serve the interest of both countries and their peoples. Both sides agreed to exchange high-level visits at both the Presidential and Ministerial levels. The next political consultations will be hosted by Qatar in 2026.
