NACCIMA Engages Diplomatic Corps For Strategic Partnership.

The Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) hosted Economic Diplomacy Dialogue with members of the Diplomatic Community at the Tafawa Balewa Building Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja on Tuesday, 29th July, 2025.

Speaking on the objectives of the Dialogue, National President of NACCIMA, Engr (Dr.) Jani Ibrahim said “This event marks a new dawn at strategic partnership between the Nigeria private organized sector and the global and development community. This meeting is a meeting to strengthen partnership and collaboration and also to get know ourselves. I will be very happy that at the end of this dialogue, we will have an opportunity to network and see what we can do together. Today’s dialogue is designed to foster deeper engagement between the diplomatic community and Nigeria’s private sector”.
“NACCIMA is the chair of the organized private sector of Nigeria, so it makes it a one-stop-shop if you want to deal with the private sector. We leverage our platform to align with the Federal government 8-point Agenda, applying our collective efforts to realize the $1 trillion economy by 2030. We have given our assurances to Mr President, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, that, that goal is not only achievable but it is also surpassable” he added.

Taking the attendees through the activities of NACCIMA, its structure, development partners and spread of membership across all geo-political zones in Nigeria, Director-General of NACCIMA, Sola Obadimu using a power point presentation gave details of their operational modus. “We have over 100 Chambers nationwide, consisting 74 city and States Chambers of Commerce, 17 Bi-lateral Chambers of Commerce, that is various countries globally. Other professional and Trade Associations not necessarily Chambers of Commerce but decided to be part of NACCIMA, and that is aside more than 500 Corporate members we have. We cover all sectors, like ICT, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Solid Minerals and so on. We act as a bridge between the private sector and the public sector. Our structures are rich” he said.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar in his remarks appreciated NACCIMA and its leadership for complementing the President Bola Tinubu efforts in making Nigeria the ultimate destination for investors, taking advantage of Nigeria’s population especially a very vibrant youth population.
Members of the Diplomatic Corps also took turns to eulogise NACCIMA for the initiative and their willingness to latch unto the opportunity for enormous trade and investment opportunities in Nigeria.
