ECOWAS Commemorates 2025 Breast Cancer Awareness Month In Guinea-Bissau.

The ECOWAS Representation Office and ESSMGB have jointly organised Campaign Awareness activities In commemoration of the 2025 Breast Cancer Awareness Month, in Guinea-Bissau.
The awareness campaign which held on the 22nd of October, 2025 in Guinea-Bissau included a Route March, and a Meeting in a Save Our Soul, (SOS), Village School with the Students and other Stakeholders in Guinea Bissau.
The meeting brought together several relevant Representatives of host Authorities such as, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, as well as, National Planning and Regional Integration.
Speeches were made by the ECOWAS Resident Representative, Ambassador Ngozi Ukaeje, and the Force Commander, ESSMGB, Brigadier General EO Ojabo.
Both Statements highlighted the importance and need for women to endeavor to access health care and treatment early, as well as, screening in order to avoid late detection of the disease.
Also, presentations were made by Medical Doctors from ESSMGB, on the challenges, ways and means towards solving the problems, and accessing proper health care and treatment to prevent the disease.
