Nigeria Congratulates Haiti On Her 221st Independence Anniversary.

Nigeria has congratulated the Republic of Haiti on her 221st Independence Anniversary.

In a statement y signed by the Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, Mr Kimiebi Ebienfa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, extended warm congratulations to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Haiti, Jean-Victor Jean-Baptiste, as well as to the Government and people of the Republic of Haiti, on the occasion of their Independence Anniversary.

According to the statement, this historic anniversary stands as a powerful symbol of Haiti’s pioneering role in the global struggle for freedom, dignity, and self-determination, noting that, as the first Black republic to attain independence, Haiti occupies a unique and enduring place in world history, inspiring generations across Africa, and the African diaspora in the collective pursuit of liberty, justice, and equality.

The Minister further stated that Nigeria and Haiti share historical bonds rooted in common heritage and shared-values, affirming Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations through diplomatic engagement, cultural exchange, and cooperation within multilateral frameworks, including the United Nations, and other international platforms, in support of global peace and development.

He therefore reaffirmed Nigeria’s solidarity with the Haitian nation as it continues its efforts toward peace, stability, and sustainable development, adding that, Nigeria underscores the importance of unity, resilience, and inclusive governance in addressing contemporary challenges and advancing national renewal.
