Nigeria and Sweden have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations following a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and Sweden’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Anna Westerholm, in Abuja.

During the Courtesy visit paid by the Swedish Ambassador, discussions reviewed the state of cooperation between both countries and highlighted decades of friendship built on mutual respect, shared values and collaboration in areas including trade, development, innovation, governance and education.

Ambassador Odumegwu-Ojukwu emphasised the importance of cultural diplomacy as a strategic tool for deepening bilateral ties, promoting greater understanding between peoples and unlocking economic opportunities through the creative industries.

Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation and advancing mutually beneficial partnerships.
