China Cancels Visa Requirement for Saudi Arabia.

The People’s Republic of China has announced measures regarding the exemption of Saudi citizens from entry visa requirements, effective from June 9, 2025, until June 8, 2026.

The Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia in a post on its X handle appreciates the Chinese government for this development. According to the statement, “this step will contribute to encouraging mutual visits and deepening the bonds of friendship between the two countries”.

China and Saudi Arabia have strengthened their diplomatic relations in recent years, driven by mutual economic and strategic interests.

Saudi Arabia is one of China’s largest oil suppliers, and China is the kingdom’s largest trading partner. The two countries have signed agreements to enhance energy cooperation, including joint ventures in refining and petrochemicals.

Bilateral trade between China and Saudi Arabia has grown significantly, with China becoming Saudi Arabia’s largest trading partner. Saudi Arabia has also invested in China’s oil and gas sector, as well as in infrastructure projects.
