Cuba, Angola, Ethiopia Envoys In Abuja To Deepen Cooperation.

The Economic Community of West African States, (ECOWAS), Commission President, Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, has met with Ambassadors from Cuba, Angola, and Ethiopia at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja to deliberate on strengthening cooperation.
According to a statement by the Commission on Wednesday, the Envoys met with the ECOWAS President on Tuesday, 4th March, 2025.
During the visit, the Ambassador of Republic of Cuba, Miriam Morales Palmero, highlighted collaboration in the health sector with the West African Health Organisation (WAHO), while the Ambassador Extraordinary and Penitentiary of the Republic of Angola, José Bamoquina Zau, discussed the upcoming US-Africa Business Summit in Luanda, which aims to boost economic exchanges.
Alao, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Penitentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Legesse Geremew Haile, expressed his readiness to collaborate closely with ECOWAS.
Meanwhile, the President of ECOWAS Commission, Omar Alieu Touray, reaffirmed ECOWAS’ commitment to regional integration, free trade, and free movement of goods and people of Ethiopia.
