In a shocking development, Dutch authorities have apprehended two individuals, one of whom is employed by the Dutch Ministry of Defence, on charges of illicitly providing airplane parts to Russia, thereby violating international sanctions against Moscow.
The first suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, saw his residence and business premises subjected to intense police raids. Law enforcement agents successfully confiscated a substantial cache of evidence, including computers, a substantial sum of over €250,000, $8,000 in cash, aircraft components, as well as weapons and ammunition.
This significant operation was carried out by investigators from the FIOD finance ministry.
Similarly, the home of the Ministry of Defence worker was also targeted in a similar raid, leading to the seizure of materials of a comparable nature. According to investigative sources, the accused has been identified as Michael H, who is the proprietor of a company known as Marine Aerospace and is further noted as a member of the defence ministry’s works council.
