Israeli Ambassador Calls For Firm Stand Against Jewish Massacre

By Ferdinand Olise

The Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, says, the lessons that were learnt from the holocaust that claimed the lives of six million Jews, which is Never Again, should not just be a hashtag, but an action by the entire world never to allow such occurrence again.

Ambassador Freeman, who stated this in Abuja, on Thursday, at the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, said the same hate is being used by the Hamas people to Massacre the Jews again.

“It’s the greatest massacre of the Jewish people; six million Jews murdered by a state affiliate that was set up with the purpose of killing the Jews”, he said.

He stated that the attempt by South Africa to perverse, and pollute the term “genocide” by taking that case to the International Court of Justice belittles the real term of genocide, as it does not in anyway honour victims of the holocaust.

“Today we have the state of Israel, today we have a strong defense, therefore Hamas couldn’t carry out what they wanted to do which would have been to carry out the massacre of millions of Jews, but we would not let that happen.

“We’re doing everything we can to avoid civilian casualties”, he said.

The United Nations Resident Coordinator, and, World Health Organisation Country Representative, Dr. Walter Kazadi Mulombo, said the world is witnessing hate spreading at an alarming speed, warning that, demonization of others, and disdain for diversity is a danger to everyone.

He called on everyone to condemn all forms of racism, prejudice, and religious bigotry, hatred, violence against the minority in the society, never to be silent in the face of discrimination, and speak out for human rights, and the dignity of all.

The holocaust which claimed the lives of six million Jewish Children, women, and men, was carried out by the Nazis, and their collaborators.
