Nigeria Commiserates With Switzerland Over Tragic Inferno.

The Federal Government has received with profound sadness the news of the tragic fire incident at a ski resort in Switzerland, which claimed the lives of dozens of persons, with several others injured.

According to a statement today by the Ministry signed by its Spokesperson, Mr Kimiebi Ebienfa, the blaze broke out in the early hours of New Year’s Day at Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana, one of Switzerland’s most exclusive locales.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, therefore on behalf of the Government and people of Nigeria, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Switzerland, and extends sincere sympathies to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the unfortunate tragedy.

Nigeria also wished those injured a speedy and full recovery, adding that the thoughts, and prayers of the Government and people of Nigeria, are with the Government and people of Switzerland during this period of mourning.
