Nigerian Businessman Alleges Cover-Up in Daughter’s UK Death Case.

By Caroline Ameh

Nigerian businessman Oladapo Ogundipe has exposed what he claims to be a deliberate attempt to conceal evidence surrounding the death of his daughter, Alanis, in the United Kingdom. Alanis, a 26-year-old accountant, tragically took her own life on May 29, 2023, reportedly after being blackmailed by her boyfriend, Ryan Leggetts.

According to Ogundipe, his daughter’s corpse was cremated before a forensic autopsy could be conducted, raising suspicions of a cover-up. He alleges that his wife, Josephine, pressured him into agreeing to the cremation, purportedly to “say goodbye to Alanis respectfully.” This decision, made without a thorough investigation, has fueled concerns about the integrity of the case.

Furthermore, Ogundipe claims that during a recent coroner’s inquest, he was prevented from questioning Ryan, allegedly at the behest of his wife’s lawyer. He asserts that the emotional and psychological harm inflicted on Alanis by her boyfriend played a significant role in her tragic demise.

Ogundipe is now calling on UK authorities to reopen the case and conduct a thorough investigation into his daughter’s death. He has accused Ryan of manslaughter and murder, citing a series of alleged actions that contributed to Alanis’s suffering and eventual suicide.

Efforts to reach Josephine for comment have been unsuccessful thus far. As the investigation unfolds, the family’s quest for justice continues, with Ogundipe determined to seek accountability for his daughter’s untimely death.
