Non-Resident Somali Ambassador, Hassan Presents Letters oF Credence To Rwandan President, Kagame.

The non-resident Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Republic of Rwanda, H.E. Ilyas Ali Hassan, officially presented his credentials to H.E. President Paul Kagame on Wednesday, 21st May, 2025 during a formal ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda

At the reception, Ambassador Ilyas Ali Hassan conveyed warm greetings from H.E. President Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to President Kagame, underscoring Somalia’s strong commitment to enhancing friendly ties and expanding bilateral cooperation with Rwanda.

In response, President Paul Kagame expressed his gratitude to Somalia, highlighting the deep-rooted historical relations and longstanding friendship between the two nations.

There have been strong diplomatic ties between Somalia and Rwanda in the area enhancing bilateral cooperation boosted by a Memorandum of Understanding signed by Somali’s Foreign Minister Abdisaid Muse Ali and his Rwandan counterpart Vincent Biratu, exploring trade and investment opportunities.

Both countries are part of East African Community promoting regional cooperation and economic integration.
