Rivers United Qualify for CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage.

NPFL champions Rivers United will feature in the money-spinning group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after they drew 1-1 with Al Nasr in Libya to go through 6-1 on aggregate on Wednesday 9th November, 2022.
Al Nasr took the lead in the 39th minute only for striker Nyima Nwagua to draw Rivers United level on the hour.
Rivers United won the first leg in Port Harcourt 5-0.
They will thus be the only Nigerian club in the group stage of a continental club competition going into the new year.
