Saudi Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Pakistani Ambassador To Saudi Arabia, Farooq.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs His Excellency, Waleed ElKhereiji has received Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Ahmad Farooq, to review bilateral relations between the two countries and discuss the latest regional and international developments, as well as the efforts being made in this regard.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a long-standing special relationship rooted in shared Islamic ideals and centuries-old cultural and commercial ties. Established in 1947, their diplomatic relations have been historically close and friendly, with Pakistan often dubbed as Saudi Arabia’s closest Muslim and non-Arab ally.

Pakistan has provided extensive support, arms, and training to the Saudi armed forces, with thousands of Pakistani soldiers stationed in Saudi Arabia to protect the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia is a major source of petroleum for Pakistan, supplying extensive financial aid and investments. Remittances from Pakistani migrants in Saudi Arabia are a significant source of foreign currency for Pakistan.

Frequent exchanges of high-level visits have taken place between the two countries, with agreements signed on trade, education, and security cooperation
