AUC Chairperson Receives Letters of Credence from Ambassadors From The Gambia, Cyprus, Slovenia and Thailand.

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, received letters of credence on Wednesday, 4th June, 2025 from H.E. Mrs. Salimata Touray of The Gambia, Mr. Savvas Vladimirou of the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mrs. Kristina Radej of Slovenia, and H.E. Mrs. Morakot Janemathukom of Thailand. The envoys conveyed their governments’ firm commitment to deepening cooperation with the African Union.

The Chairperson welcomed The Gambia’s active continental engagement, appreciated Cyprus’ growing diplomatic footprint in Africa, acknowledged Slovenia’s valuable contributions within the EU and UN Security Council in strengthening multilateral cooperation, and lauded Thailand’s deepening Africa-Asia ties.

H.E. Mr Youssouf expressed gratitude for the strong partnerships and encouraged continued efforts to advance shared priorities, multilateralism, and Africa’s global voice.
