Experts Meet In Cote D’Ivoire To Review ECOWAS New IT Policies.

Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) IT experts have met in Abidjan, capital of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, to review and validate the Organisation’s new IT policies and procedures.
At the beginning of a meeting holding from March 17 to March 21, 2025 with the main objective of ensuring that the new ECOWAS IT policies and procedures are aligned with best practice, ECOWAS Commission’s Communication Directorate said the IT services will be re-examined for the purposes of new IT policies and procedures.
The objective of the meeting is to also ensure that the new ECOWAS IT policies and procedures meet the evolving requirements of the global operating environment.
Meanwhile, the ECOWAS IT policy will cover areas such as acceptable use of IT resources, security measures, data management, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and employee responsibilities.
