Three People Seriously Injured After Shooting In Toronto’s East End.
At least three people are in hospital following a shooting in Toronto’s east end Saturday afternoon, Toronto police said.
Officers arrived at the scene near Victoria Park and Sloane Avenues after multiple gunshots were heard shortly before 5 p.m.
Police said they found a 26-year-old man at the scene with a gunshot wound to his arm and hand. He was later transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition by paramedics.
Several gun casings were also found on the scene, police said.
Officers later confirmed that two other men showed up at a local hospital injured, one of them a 26-year-old man in stable condition with a gunshot wound to his leg.
The third victim, a 30-year-old man, was rushed to a trauma centre after arriving at a hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound to his chest and stomach.
“At this point is a little too early for us to say for certain that these two incidents are linked with one another, but it is certainly something we are exploring throughout the investigation,” Duty Inspector Jason Albanese told reporters on the scene Saturday.
No information on the suspect or the circumstances of the shooting has been provided so far.
