President Bola Tinubu while attending the G-20 Summit in India, addressed the Nigerian community during an engaging interaction on Thursday evening. The President’s message centered on the potential of Nigeria’s rich diversity as a catalyst for prosperity and national development.

This was contained in a release signed by his special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale.

According to him, President Tinubu urged Nigerians to embrace their country’s unique blend of cultures, talents, and traditions, emphasizing the need to leverage this diversity for economic growth, innovation, and social progress. “Our prosperity lies in our diversity,” he asserted, “and by harnessing it, we can unlock our nation’s full potential.”

The President also reflected on the motivation behind his presidential bid, attributing it to Nigeria’s untapped human and natural resources and a leadership deficit that hindered the nation’s progress. He stated, “We are not poor in knowledge or resources; we are poor in leadership. That’s why I ran for president, to guide our nation toward its rightful destiny.”

Sharing insights from his personal journey, President Tinubu encouraged Nigerian students in India to aspire to greatness through dedication, integrity, and a shift in mindset. He recounted his humble beginnings as a security guard and tutor, highlighting the transformative power of education.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, outlined President Tinubu’s foreign policy priorities, including an improved Diaspora engagement. He assured Nigerians abroad that passport delays would become history and stressed the importance of projecting a positive image of Nigeria globally.

Business tycoon Mr. Tony Elumelu echoed the President’s sentiments, affirming that Nigeria was a prime investment destination with unmatched potential. He emphasized that betting on Nigerians was akin to betting on success, citing the achievements of Nigerians worldwide.
