THREE YEARS OF FOOTPRINTS ON THE SANDS OF DELTA: A Poetic Salute to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori.

By Amb. Dr. Samson Joseph Iriruaga

History has a unique way of separating promises from performances. While some leaders leave behind echoes of speeches, others leave behind monuments of action. Some govern with words; others govern with works. In the unfolding story of Delta State, the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori belongs to the latter category.

Three years ago, a new chapter opened in the destiny book of Delta State. Expectations were high. Hopes were alive. Questions filled the air. Could the M.O.R.E Agenda become more than a political slogan? Could aspirations become realities? Could continuity truly produce greater prosperity?

Today, the answers stand boldly in concrete roads, illuminated communities, expanding infrastructure, empowered citizens, strengthened institutions, and renewed confidence in governance.

The evidence speaks.
The roads speak.
The bridges speak.
The schools speak.
The hospitals speak.
The communities speak.
And above all, the people speak.

Like a farmer who carefully plants before expecting a harvest, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori entered office not with the noise of a trumpeter but with the determination of a builder.

He understood that governance is not a theatre of endless applause but a workshop of measurable results.

Across the length and breadth of Delta State, from bustling urban centres to quiet rural settlements, the footprints of the M.O.R.E Agenda have become visible realities.

The governor did not merely inherit a vision; he expanded it.
He did not merely occupy an office; he activated it.
He did not merely manage a government; he energized governance.

The ancient saying reminds us that a tree is known by its fruits. Today, Delta State stands beneath a tree bearing visible fruits of development.

Like the legendary builders of civilizations who understood that greatness is measured by what remains after the speeches are forgotten, Governor Oborevwori has continued to write his legacy through projects that touch lives directly.

His administration resembles the patient architect, who understands that strong foundations matter more than flashy decorations.

While critics searched for noise, he delivered results.
While doubters demanded evidence, he produced projects.
While skeptics predicted stagnation, he demonstrated movement.

Indeed, the M.O.R.E Agenda has become more than an acronym; it has become a living testimony:

More roads.
More opportunities.
More empowerment.
More development.
More inclusion.
More hope.
More confidence.
More progress.

The story of Delta State today evokes memories of leaders whose names became synonymous with transformational governance because they understood that leadership is ultimately a sacred trust between government and the governed.

True leadership is not measured by the number of years spent in office but by the number of lives positively touched.

On this score, the administration of Sheriff Oborevwori continues to earn commendation.
Across communities, the hum of development sings its own song.

It sings from newly completed projects.
It sings from rehabilitated infrastructure.
It sings from empowered youths and women.
It sings from communities witnessing government presence.
It sings from citizens who can point to visible evidence rather than invisible promises.

And so, as Delta State marks this significant milestone of three years, it is fitting to pause and celebrate a journey of purposeful governance.
Not because the journey has ended.
But because the journey has produced tangible milestones.

Not because perfection has been attained.
But because progress has been demonstrated.
Not because every challenge has disappeared.
But because leadership has shown commitment to confronting those challenges.

The accountability of the first term already stands as a strong advertisement for what greater accomplishments may emerge in the future.

When a foundation is strong, confidence in the structure naturally follows.
When results are visible, faith in leadership grows.
When promises become projects, trust becomes stronger.

Today, the people of Delta State can look around and see reasons for optimism.
The drumbeats of development are sounding.
The footsteps of progress are advancing.
The banners of hope are flying.
The spirit of collective advancement is rising.

Therefore, let the applause ring.
Let the celebration resound.
Let gratitude find expression.
For leadership that seeks results deserves recognition.
For governance that touches lives deserves commendation.
For service that leaves visible footprints deserves remembrance.

To His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, this tribute is offered with admiration and appreciation.
May the remaining chapters of this administration be even brighter than the opening pages.
May the vision continue to expand.
May development continue to deepen.
May prosperity continue to spread.
And may Delta State continue to rise higher under purposeful leadership.

For when history finally writes its verdict on this era, it may well record that a quiet achiever came, worked, built, and left enduring footprints upon the sands of Delta.

Kudos to an amiable achiever.
Kudos to a servant leader.
Kudos to a governor equal to the task.
Kudos to the captain of the M.O.R.E Agenda.
And kudos to the people of Delta State, whose future continues to be shaped by the steady hands of purposeful leadership.
Long live Delta State.
Long live the M.O.R.E Agenda.
Long live purposeful governance.
